Karen joined the staff at Sterling Village in 2015. She was named interim executive director in December 2018. Initially she was hired as a Quality Assurance Coordinator. Since then her responsibilities have expanded to include being the Eastwood neighborhood manager and the nursing center MDS coordinator. She is a graduate Friends University with a Masters in Healthcare Leadership, and is completing the Administrator In Training license through the Kansas Adult Care Executives.
JoAnna came back to Sterling Village in July 2017. A familiar face around the campus, JoAnna was a certified nurse aid and certified medication aid from 2007 – 2010, and then worked as the activity director from 2011 to 2014 and finally social services in 2015 before leaving to start a family and a new business. She and her husband run and operate a laundromat in Hutchinson. She has a bachelor’s degree in art from Sterling College. She is a CNA, and has certifications as an activity director, social services designee and KDOT driver.
Lisa joined the Sterling Village team in July of 2019. She previously was the Executive Director at Waldron Place in Hutchinson, KS. Lisa earned her Bachelors of Social Work from Wichita State University in 1988. Her husband, Ron, is from the Sterling area and she loves serving people.
Peggy first joined Sterling Village in 1992 as a cook and served in that capacity for five years before leaving. She rejoined our team as dining services director in 2003. As a certified dietary manager, Peggy brings 16 years of dietary management experience to her position here. Her education includes Barton Community College. Among her outside activities, she enjoys cooking, knitting and taking care of her seven grandchildren.
